Program to Make Life-sustaining Medical Treatment Wishes
Planning goals for meaningful living options.
Rev. Phil Somsen, Coordinator of Pastoral Care, Unity Point Health-Trinity Regional Medical Center,
will lead the Senior University program Friday, May 17th at 2:00 p.m. in the Celebration Center on the Friendship Haven Campus, 420 Kenyon Road in Fort Dodge. Somsen will present education on the Iowa Physician’s Order for Scope of Treatment (IPOST). The IPOST is a form which allows an individual to state their wishes for medical care and treatment in the time of emergency or at the end of their life. The IPOST is a document that compliments your current advanced directives. Somsen will review access to materials and qualified facilitators during the program.
This Senior University event is open to the public. You do not need to be a resident of the Friendship Haven community to attend. Please call 573-6000 for questions or campus directions.
