We are a not-for-profit full-service Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) with a comprehensive offering of residential town homes and apartments, common areas, services and amenities, and health care options. Friendship Haven is operated by a volunteer board of directors who govern the organization and support the leadership of experienced administrative, professional, and skilled personnel. We are a faith-based organization originally founded by the United Methodist Church; however, we welcome people of all faiths and backgrounds.

Friendship Haven offers a variety of independent and supported living that enables residents to enjoy the stability of aging in community, even while facing health challenges. Our housing choices include independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing care, home care, rehabilitative therapy, respite, and long-term nursing care. We’re also located next door to Trinity Regional Medical Center, a well-regarded and progressive medical facility.

Our community includes independent living options at Hilltop Road, Friendship Circle, Timber Ridge Town Homes, and Kenyon Place Apartments. Certified Assisted Living options include River Ridge Apartments and the traditional and memory support neighborhoods of The Gardens Assisted Living. Simpson Health Center offers skilled nursing care for long and short-term stays. The Journeys neighborhood offers an extra level of care for those needing further memory support.

Applicants must be at least 55 years of age, able to live independently, and have completed an application for residency.

We have multiple options in our residential community designed to suit your style of living. Prices vary by neighborhood depending on size, location, floor plan, and extras like a porch or balcony. Where entrance fee options are available, they are offered at rates comparable to home values in the Fort Dodge market. Our retirement counselors are available to assist you in making the decision that best suits you.
