Maintain Your Independence with Second Family Services
Need a little extra help with daily living activities? Friendship Haven’s Second Family support services enable residents to enjoy continued independence in the privacy and comfort of their on-campus home.
During scheduled visits at residents’ on-campus apartments, Second Family staff provide personal care, medication assistance, companion, and chore services.
Second Family can help with
Light housekeeping and assistance after an illness, injury, or surgery
Medication management
Advocating for resident and communicating updates to family and medical providers
Connecting residents and family to other services if needed

Maintenance & Grounds
Friendship Haven has a professional, friendly, in-house maintenance team to address a wide array of resident needs in a timely manner, such as snow removal and lawn care. The grounds team cares for our immaculate 60-acre campus throughout the year so that it remains both beautiful and safe for our residents and visitors.

Residents at Friendship Haven enjoy a variety of campus amenities, including Northland Travel for convenient travel planning, the Beauty Shop for personal grooming and pampering, and the Pocket Door Gift Shop for specialty coffee, snacks, gifts, and local vendor products.
