Graduate of accredited school for Occupational Therapy Assistant.
Certified through NBCOT or ability to become certified
Ability to work effectively as a team member while exhibiting a positive,
professional attitude
Ability to organize, plan, and manage time efficiently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Effective clinical problem solving skills
Computer literate
Valid driver’s license
Understanding of various payor sources
Ability to vary schedule as needed to meet the needs of the residents, including
Weekends/holidays if necessary
Ability to maintain patient/resident confidentiality
Must be eligible to work in the Federal Health program
CPR Certification, or the ability to become certified
Position Summary: This individual will provide Occupational Therapy services to any individual who requires skilled intervention. This includes evaluation, treatment, inservicing, consulting with other disciplines and documentation required to efficiently meet each resident/patient’s needs. These services will be provided in accordance with Friendship Haven policies and procedures, AOTA guidelines, and state and federal regulations. This individual will also be able to provide in-services for nursing staff and/or other organizations on the definition and function of Occupational Therapy.We are looking to add to our team!
