Purpose of the Position

Purpose of the Position

To provide personal one-on-one resident centered care and services to meet the individual needs of each resident. These services will be done in a residential setting to enhance the capacity of the residents to attain or maintain their highest level of independence, offering choice and control.

Essential Duties:

·        Encourages and participates in meaningful activities, assists with organized programs and promotes spontaneous activities with residents.

·        Responds to resident requests and assist with caring out the request, if appropriate to do so.

·        Abide by Friendship Haven Standards of Personal Performance and Code of Ethics.

·        Ability to work effectively with co-workers in a team environment.

·        Ability to self-initiate with minimal supervision.

·        Demonstrate strong organizational skills.

·        Ability to deliver excellent customer service.

Minimum Requirements

·        Education:  Level of education to communicate effectively. 

Physical Demands

·        Sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during work hours.

Mental Demands

·        Subject to frequent interruptions.

·        May be subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, families and visitors.
