Purpose of the Position
The ADON will be responsible for the oversight and coordination of staff schedules for all Nurses and CNAs in the Simpson Health Center Neighborhoods. This position will serve as a member of the nurse leadership team and will work closely and partner with the Coordinators to provide high quality care within the neighborhoods of the Simpson Health Center. The purpose of the position is for improved oversight and ownership of the daily scheduling needs to meet the demands of our resident population.
Essential Duties
Prepare daily staffing schedules and updates according to resident needs, ensuring appropriate staffing for the delivery of resident care.
Consistently adheres to fiscal standards for the households established within the annual approved staffing models per neighborhood.
Accurately and efficiently utilizes Kronos scheduling software to maintain all schedule and attendance records. Assists with reviewing electronic timesheets and actively participates in the payroll approval process.
Keeps nursing leadership informed of critical staffing situations and actively works to resolve critical concerns rapidly and effectively.
Provide leadership and vision to the household by modeling professionalism, customer service, collaboration, flexibility and acts as a coach to keep processes resident centered.
Responsible for scheduling and coordination of nurses and caregivers for the Simpson Health Center.
Assist Staff Development Coordinator with skills fairs, meetings, competencies and orientations, as needed.
Scheduled to work one shift a pay period in a Simpson Center Health Center neighborhood.
Coordinates new CNAs and Nurses after on-boarding has been completed. Collaborate with the Staff Development Coordinator to ensure there is a successful transition from on-boarding to training in the neighborhoods.
As delegated by the Director of Nursing, will assist with coverage for Coordinators job duties as needs arise.
Position will participate as a member of nurse leadership in the on-call weekday and weekend rotation for the Simpson Health Center.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Competent in clinical functions of a nursing home. Knowledge of nursing home rules and regulations along with critical thinking skills.
Knowledge of a resident centered model of service delivery within neighborhood.

Ability to work effectively with co-workers in a team environment.
Proficiency in writing and communicating with other team members.

Minimum Requirements
Licensure: RN, must be willing to obtain MDS certification if not already held at time of hire.
Experience: Must demonstrate leadership qualities and initiative in primary job function.
Computer skills.
CPR Certification.
